I've yet to decide if it's gonna get enough use to merit buying it (I don't use the mac very much at all for music) - but if you're interested in a new and pretty deep way of getting unique and varied midi drum patterns / rhythms into a ipad or desktop DAW then it might be of interest. I downloaded the free 30 day demo to my Mac and had success running live midi out (via Midi LE on USB cable) into Gadget (Bilbao) where I recorded it. It has nice velocity and groove possibilities as well as simple notes. It's a pretty new take on authoring intricate rhythms largely bypassing the traditional piano roll approach. It's a desktop application (standalone, VST, AU) for creating beats and rhythms that you can Midi Out or save to a Midi file. ![]() By default, Clip Selector locks to clips on Drum Rack Tracks.Thought people might find this interesting. Note: Clip Selector is a feature specifically for Liquid Rhythm when used with Max For Live in Ableton Live 9. For example, a user can edit a drum rack with Liquid Rhythm while simultaneously building grooves in the bassline.
